Slater and Gordon announce partnership with road safety organisation, #Project EDWARD
We are proud to announce a new partnership with road safety organisation, #Project EDWARD
On average, five people die on our roads every day and having worked alongside many victims and their families who have suffered from road traffic collisions, we understand the importance of organisations such as Project EDWARD. One of Slater and Gordon’s continued main priorities is supporting those who have been affected by road traffic collisions and to continue to advocate for safer roads.
Tracey Benson, Head of Serious Injury – South says of the partnership: “We are thrilled to partner with Project EDWARD, supporting and sharing their invaluable resources to ensure safer roads for everyone.
In our role as serious injury lawyers, we see first-hand the impact of road traffic collisions on survivors and their whole families and understand the desire for them to live their best lives while negotiating the challenges of recovery.
Our focus is to continue to support victims of road traffic collisions with their long-term recovery. This partnership with Project EDWARD reaffirms our commitment to providing expert legal advice, whilst working collaboratively with road safety organisations, in helping to deliver new road safety measures.
Project EDWARD (Every Day Without A Road Death) is a platform for showcasing good practice in road safety in the UK. Founded in 2016 as an annual event led by the Police, Project EDWARD has grown into a year-round programme backed by the government, the emergency services, highways agencies, road safety organisations and British businesses, to ensure safety on our roads remains a high priority.
James Luckhurst from Project EDWARD said: “We are excited to be playing our part in this new partnership with Slater and Gordon, whose work in the road safety arena is well known and respected. The collaboration is intended to raise awareness of the vital work done to support victims of road collisions and their families.
“Project EDWARD will play its part in sharing a wide range of helpful and relevant resources. We are working on an exciting programme of online and face-to-face engagement that will promote examples of goods practice in road safety and contribute toward saving lives on our roads.
“We are committed to a worthwhile relationship which we believe can enhance road safety efforts across the country.”
