Get to know Richard
I qualified as a solicitor in 1992 and over the years have dealt with various types of catastrophic personal injury claims involving severe brain injury, tetraplegia, multiple amputation and fatal accidents.
Throughout my career, I have dealt with all types of cases including; road traffic accidents; injuries sustained in the workplace; and public liability claims.
I take a robust attitude to establishing liability wherever possible whilst at the same time adopting a collaborative approach with defendants in seeking to secure rehabilitation and interim payments for clients.
Career highlights
I have secured damages of over £4 million for a passenger in a vehicle which left the road causing them to suffer a catastrophic brain injury. The client was a Polish national, starting a new life in the UK with her husband, who was tragically killed in the accident.
After obtaining evidence from a multitude of different experts in the fields of medicine, care, accommodation, fund management and Polish law, and through working with the defendant’s solicitors throughout to provide rehabilitation, I was able to secure a settlement that enabled her to move into a specialist care home near her extended family in Poland.
