Expert profile of Lucy Bibby

Get to know Lucy

I joined Slater and Gordon under the Paralegal Apprenticeship Scheme in 2013. Now, a litigation executive, I specialise in military injuries, representing Armed Forces personnel (both regular and reserve) and veterans who’ve suffered life-changing injuries.

Prior to joining the military injuries team in 2016, I also gained experience in the Court of Protection team.

My work covers various personal injury cases ranging from employers and public liability claims to road traffic accidents and medical negligence claims.

My areas of specialism within the military injuries team currently include non-freezing cold injuries, catastrophic injuries and PTSD.

Career highlights

Throughout my career I've been privileged to have represented many clients and help secure them access to treatment, support and financial settlement. One case in particular that sticks with me, is the first case I settled at a joint settlement meeting. I secured a six figure settlement for a client who'd been medically discharged from service after sustaining an orthopaedic injury during his phase 1 training. Here’s what he had to say about the service received:

“I had the pleasure of my case being handled by Lucy Bibby she is an absolute credit to the firm, very professional, warm and always willing to help and let me know where my case was up to. My calls where always answered by Lucy and she always got back to me when she said she would. All in all Slater and Gordon have helped me get my life back on track after losing my career due to an injury. They have been absolutely fantastic, highly professional and from start to finish I have been completely made to feel comfortable and welcome. Thank you from the bottom of my heart you’ve been perfect”
