Get to know Kelly
I have been a midwife since 2007. I worked in various roles in the NHS including community midwife, labour ward coordinator, community midwifery matron, professional midwifery advocate. I have also worked for CQC as a specialist midwifery advisor since 2018 and have attended many maternity unit inspections, contributing to assessing performance and safety and making recommendations for improvement. I joined Slater & Gordon in 2024 as a Litigation Midwife and day to day I speak to clients who are enquiring about potential claims, I review records and medical documents, provide education sessions for paralegals and legal assistants on maternity care and cases to enhance their knowledge. I also work closely with lawyers about their existing cases and provide comment and expert advice on maternity care, breach of duty and causation.
