Roland Bennett witness appeal asbestos

We're representing the family of a man who has sadly passed away due to asbestos related condition, mesothelioma.

The man worked at Hawker Siddeley (now Airbus) in Broughton between 1955 and 1976, and then at British Nuclear Fuels in Capenhurst between 1976 and 1988.

At Hawker Siddeley he was an apprentice and then went on to work as an aircraft fitter. Although his wife knows he worked with chemicals at British Nuclear Fuels, unfortunately, she doesn't know what his job there entailed.

After just a few months of breathlessness, in late 2018, he was diagnosed with asbestos condition, mesothelioma, and tragically died just two month later. Prior to his illness he had been a very fit and healthy man.

His wife doesn't know anything about the circumstances of his asbestos exposure, and due to how sudden his death was, he was unable to confirm these circumstances before he passed away.

We're therefore looking for anyone who worked at Hawker Siddeley (now Airbus) in Broughton between 1955 and 1976, and at British Nuclear Fuels in Capenhurst between 1976 and 1988, who can provide any information about the working conditions and exposure to asbestos.

If you or anyone you know worked at either of these companies between these dates, and would like to help this family, please contact Ellie Andrews on 0330 995 5925, or email Ellie.Andrews@slatergordon.uk.
