ERIC partners with Slater and Gordon to increase support for families

ERIC works nationally with children and their loved ones, as well as healthcare and education professionals, to increase support for young people who experience bowel or bladder problems.

For more than 30 years, the charity has provided dedicated support to those who experience issues, and has become a key name in supporting with potty training. Through a range of resources - including a free helpline and training for early years practitioners and health and social care professionals – it has helped to significantly advance knowledge and awareness of children’s bowel and bladder health.

Statistics show how widespread the issue is, with 1.5 million children across the UK – the equivalent to three children in every primary school class – experiencing problems such as bedwetting, daytime wetting or soiling, and constipation. Furthermore, one in four children currently start primary school still wearing nappies.

Through ERIC’s new partnership with Slater and Gordon, families can access bespoke legal support through a series of webinars and clinics designed to help establish their rights and understand the assistance that may be on offer.

In addition to providing advice in legal areas including clinical negligence, employment and family, Slater and Gordon also has in-house expertise in relation to welfare benefits, rehabilitation and case management, enabling ERIC’s families to benefit from support in a wide range of areas.
