In 2008, Kile Hughes was injured in an unprovoked attack and was found unconscious with serious head injuries. His skull had a been fractured which caused serious damage to his brain and it wasn't certain that he'd survive.
With such a huge relief to his family, Kile did survive, but it had a huge impact on his day-to-day life, as he's now unable to walk, talk, feed himself or wash himself.
His mum, Sharon, was told that Kile would improve for a year but would then decline each year. However, through hard work and determination, Kile overcame all the odds, improving more and more each year, and although Kile's abilities are limited, he even managed to complete a cycling challenge to raise money for the brain injury charity, Headway.
