Inclusion and diversity
Armed forces covenant
Slater and Gordon are proud to pledge our support to the armed forces community having signed the Armed Forces Covenant.
At Slater and Gordon, we are proud to pledge our commitment to offering opportunities and career support to those who serve, or have served, in the armed forces, as well as their family members. Our signing of the Armed Forces Covenant highlights our dedication to being a forces-friendly employer and helping reservists and veterans to showcase the amazing value and skills that they have to offer.
We strive to ensure that, as stated in the principles of the covenant, no member of the armed forces community faces a disadvantage through recruitment and career progression. One way in which we uphold this aspect of our pledge is by granting employees who are reservists additional leave for annual training. This commitment and support also extends to service spouses and partners. We have partnered with the Forces Families Job Forum, and through this we provide flexibility in leave for service spouses and partners before, during, and after deployment.
As well as these internal steps to uphold the Armed Forces Covenant, we also support several external charities and national awareness days to commemorate British service members, and to show gratitude for their commitment within the wider community.
Our business is built around the great diversity of our people, and we strive to enrich each and everybody’s skills. Our aim is to create an inclusive environment where everyone can openly be themselves and thrive, and British service members are a key part of this.
